Future plans announced: Leipurin to join Lantmännen to drive further growth in food ingredients

Press release 15 August 2025

As announced today in Aspo stock exchange release, Aspo has today signed an agreement to sell Leipurin to Lantmännen. As part of Lantmännen, Leipurin will operate as a separate business within Lantmännen's Energy Division, which currently includes food ingredients operations.

“This acquisition is expected to bring Leipurin opportunities to develop and grow the business in the long run, strengthening Leipurin expertise and services to business customers and enabling continuity as a customer driven reliable partner. Leipurin will continue to offer its customers best ingredient options from the global market. As a result of this transaction, Leipurin will become a part of a significant and sustainable company in the industry, a company which operates broadly in the food chain from field to fork”, says Leipurin CEO, Miska Kuusela.

The acquisition completion requires approval by competition authorities. Until the approval, Leipurin continues to be part of Aspo. Leipurin deliveries, customer service and supplier work continue as normal.

We will provide more information in the near future.
